Our Local Hypocrites Continue Attack On Free Speech!

KNCO’s Facebook page has been plastered with complaints this week. To be sure, social media is changing how we communicate in small towns, forever providing a grassroots outlet to hold our major media accountable. There is no longer a “bottleneck.” Here’s the memo:

“When the Nevada County community speaks, KNCO listens and reports.

“Due to the heavy volume of negative (and some positive) comments regarding the Rush Limbaugh regularly aired show on KNCO from 9-noon Monday – Friday, Tom Fitzsimmons is conducting a 2-way radio for all of our listeners tomorrow, Wednesday March 7th. What this means is Tom will continue his morning show into the 9-noon hours with open phones for our listeners to comment live on air during the time frame Rush would normally air. The show tomorrow is the time to air your comments. We appreciate your comments and concerns.

“Thank you for your support during this disparaging time.”

When rabid misogynist Bill Maher called Sarah Palin and C*nt what did the local left do — smile. What happened when Rush called a 30 year old political activist who wants a $1,000 a year for contraceptives a slut, the local left goes over the edge trying to destroy Rush.  Even after he apologized they continue to attack. So the issue is not calling some one a slut, it is about attacking free speech. If the Hypocrites do not want to listen to Rush, turn the radio off and leave my listening alone. No, they want to control who I listen to, they want to control my access to ideas, and yours as well.  They want to control our freedom of choice.

I hope that you will support KNCO in their effort to keep Rush on the air and support free speech in Western Nevada County, see these lefties to go howl at the moon.

CA Recovery Continues to Slip Away

The Central Central Valley Business Times has the story

California foreclosure-related sales accounted for 43 percent of the state’s total residential property sales in the fourth quarter, the second highest percentage among the states, trailing only Nevada’s 56 percent.

Third parties purchased a total of 246,780 homes in foreclosure or bank-owned in California during all of 2011, the most of any state and up 2 percent from 2010.

The story concludes:

CA  real unemployment rate is approximately 20%.  The current cash deficit is $21 billion, Brown is seeking a tax increase of $215 billion over twelve years.  More taxes are not going to stop CA’s slide into recession, or accelerate a recovery any time soon.
