The New Mobile Citizen Reporting App
The New Citizen Reporting App allows you to report issues on roads, health concerns, environmental concerns, general information, and transit services. You can use this app with both a PC and a mobile device. Using this app you can describe and submit a photo of the problem as well as provide a location. After creating/submitting a report it will be directed to the correct department. You may opt to get a response when the problem has been resolved if you leave your contact information in the mobile version. This tool puts the power of Nevada County Government in your hands. The mobile version can be downloaded for free using your smart phone from the Android Play Store or Apple App Store.

This should be fun. I have been saving pictures of things that need to be fixed from potholes to busted curbs and vegetation blocking transit signs.
Update(07-02-12,19:35) You have to use the search term myNevadaCounty to find the app in the Google Android Play Store. More details on the application can be found on the website HERE. It appears I cannot use my existing photos, but will have to revisit the sites with problems.
Some interesting features is a direct link to the Supervisors, you can send an e-mail or text direct to your Supervisor from the application. You can also go directly to the County Website and it is prepared to handle your small screen device. However, I could not find a link to the County Tourism web site under the information tab. More to explore. If you are visiting and see something interesting, please post a comment. So far only ten people have down loaded the Android App.

“This tool puts the power of Nevada County Government in your hands.” OK, sign me up. The biggest pothole that I’m aware of is the $119M of unfunded liabilities facing the county, and we have no idea as to how much is due when so that we can measure the location or impact of this pothole. Maybe this app will provide us the power to squeeze that information out of county government.
George,
I could not find on my Android phone. Did you find an app on your iPhone?
Russ, I have yet to look. According to your report, the app doesn’t address the potholes in county government that I’m most interested in.
