PUT ME IN CHARGE . . .*

Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I’d do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal legations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your home” will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a “government” job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the “common good..”

Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be “demeaning” and ruin their “self esteem,” consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are on Gov’t subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov’t welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

Amen! 

WELCOME TO THE TEA PARTY NEWS NETWORK

Remember when out local lefties and his purpleness declared the Tea Party over,  as it’s influence would soon fade with in a few weeks after the 2010 election.  Well it did not happen and the strength of the Tea Party in it’s various forms continues to grow. The Tea Party continues to be a loose collection of grass roots organizations with little top down management. Local organizations decide what is the best approach for their communities, relying on the Internet to communicate local actions to other Tea Party groups.

Now these local groups will have the Tea Party News Network to feed stories to their web pages, luncheon update reports and monthly newsletters. Of course you can tune in on the web.

The Politico takes note with this new news network: Tea Party conservatives are getting their very own news site.

The Tea Party News Network, self-described as “the only trusted news source and the antidote to mainstream media bias,” is already live but will announce its launch tomorrow morning, with plans to start live video on election day. TPNN claims to have a “war room of 40-plus volunteers” who will operate out of the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, and has established partnerships with the Talk Radio Network and radio host Rusty Humphries, who will be co-anchoring the election night coverage.

This is another place to go for some unfiltered lame stream news. Perhaps not totally unbiased news, as the Tea Party has a mission, but the news will not be run through the liberal/progressive news filter before you get to consume it.  I recommend you give it try and see if it deserved a place on your bookmark or favorites bar.

NBC is in the Tank for Climate Change Causing Sandy

We are viewing the Sandy devastation on NBC. Yes, I know NBC. But some times we all need to see what the lame stream media is spewing.

First they reported that Sandy had the lowest atmospheric pressure ever recorded, creating the storm of the century.  Recorded is operative phase here.

They claim that are experiencing the new normal, warmer oceans, rising sea levels and more intense drought. The experts they flashed on the screen were Kevin Trenberth at NCAR, famous for his inability to find global warming in a Climategate e-mail, and  Dr Katharine Hayhoe, Texas Tech, who claimed the oceans are warmer than they use to be  and rising sea levels were part of the new normal.   Kayhoe sees a new normal everywhere.  ”It’s a new normal and I really do think that global weirding is the best way to describe what we’re seeing,” climate scientist Katharine Hayhoe of Texas Tech University told reporters.  She appears to be another climatologist that cannot recognize the difference between weather and climate.

Wind Power Will Blackout Millions in UK — CA Next?

The UK Telegraph has the details:

Millions of British households face blackout, warns Ofgem [Britain's energy system manager]

Millions of households are at risk of power black-outs within three years because coal stations are being replaced with wind farms, the energy watchdog has said.

If it will happen in the UK, and Obama’s EPA is shutting down the coal plant across the United States, will we soon be joining the million in the UK shivering in the dark on long winter nights?  California has sworn off the use of coal generated power and is switching to wind and solar power. We could be just a vulnerable if coal plants shut down and there are no backup power plants to provide power when the wind is not blowing and cold is seeping in the windows at night.

We currently do not have a effective method for storing solar energy, and increased cloudiness from volcanic eruptions or a burst of cosmic rays during a quiet sun could reduce the solar output.  Solar scientist are predicting the loss of sunspots sometime after 2015, resulting in the potential for more cosmic rays entering the atmosphere, generating more clouds.

The potential for black outs in California could increase over time. One of our best options is to get rid of Obama and his EPA which are forcing the closure of our coal mines and coal fired power plants.  Insurance against the whims of Mother Nature.

We all knew it was going to happen, the numbers would be rigged to get the unemployment number down.  You can change that number  by juggling the numbers, but you canot change reality. James Pethokoukis at the American Enterprise Institute has an article titled The sickly, stagnant September jobs report, that is worth your time to read.

Bottom line: The U.S. labor market remains in a deep depression with virtually no recovery since the official end of the Great Recession. But the Long Recession continues unabated.

Obama calls debate prep ‘a drag’

President Obama played some hookey from his intense debate preparation early this week in Las Vegas, visiting a campaign field office in nearby Henderson and chatting with volunteers for his re-election effort.

“It’s very nice. Although basically they’re keeping me indoors all the time. It’s a drag. They’re making me do my homework,” Obama joked with volunteer Andrea Stinger.

Rumor is, Obama wants the Hawaii house ready by January 2013.

President Obama has the golden trifecta of anti-US leader endorsements: first, he got the apocalyptic Iranian Ahmadinejad, then the former head of the KGB President Putin of Russia, and now that of dying Venezuelan autocrat Hugo Chavez.

It’s all over, Obama’s Commie friends have spoken.  One has to wonder why are these communist leaders so interested in Obama getting four more years? Are they in on the plan to “fundamentally change America.”

Head’s Up Vets All Across This Great Land

More than 1,000 American soldiers have lost their lives in Afghanistan in the last 27 months. This is more than the combined total of the nine years before.

Thirty have died in August. During the last month, over 50 additional NATO and US servicemen have been murdered, inside jobs by those who are hired to be a force for good in Afghanistan .

The commander in chief is AWOL. Not a peep.  There is a deep disgust, a fury, growing in the ranks of the military against the indifferent incompetence of this president.

It has taken on a dangerous tone. No one knows what to do about him, but the anger runs deep as the deaths continue with no strategic end in sight to the idiocy of this war.

Obama has had 4 years to end this futile insanity, during which time he has vacationed, golfed, campaigned, and generally ignored the plight of our men and women in uniform.

But, there is now a movement afoot in the armed services to launch a massive get out the vote drive against this president.

Not just current active duty types, but the National Guard, Reserves, the retired, and all other prior service members. This is no small special interest group, but many millions of veterans who can have an enormous impact on the outcome of the November election if they all respond.

The million military retirees in Florida alone could mean an overwhelming victory in that state if they all show up at the polls. It might not keep another one hundred U.S. troops from dying between now and November, but a turn out to vote by the military against this heart breaking lack of leadership can make a powerful statement that hastens a change to the indifference of this shallow little man who just lets our soldiers die.

Who Would Have Thought in the Real Promised Land

Who would have thought that the oil-rich Arabs would want to constrain our ability to be dependent on them for our  fossil fuels?

A new film starring Matt Damon presents American oil and natural gas producers as money-grubbing villains purportedly poisoning rural American towns. It is therefore of particular note that it is financed in part by the royal family of the oil-rich United Arab Emirates. [Emphasis added]

The creators of Promised Land have gone to absurd lengths to vilify oil and gas companies, as Scribe’s Michael Sandoval noted Wednesday. Since recent events have demonstrated the relative environmental soundness of hydraulic fracturing – a technique for extracting oil and gas from shale formations – Promised Land’s script has been altered to make doom-saying environmentalists the tools of oil companies attempting to discredit legitimate “fracking” concerns.

You can read the whole story HERE.  I will not be viewing the Promised Land, I hope others will do the same. Why should we support the Arabs and their goal of keeping us on their fossil fuel tit, by encouraging US citizens to demand our own government stop “fracking” in America.

Sea Level Rise Decelerating – No Really Decelerating!

Yes, I know if you have been following national public radio in California we will soon be drowned by the rising sea levels. Not!

A.A. Boretti, an Australian scientist who has studied satellite radar altimeter data covering the past 20 years, discovered that the average rate of sea level rise is just under 3.2 mm a year. That rate would cause a sea levels rise of  just under 32 cm (12½ inches) by the year 2100, not the 100 cm that is currently being advocated by our local lefties, state funded environmentalist hired guns, rent seeking climate change scientists, KQED Climate Change reporters, and political hacks who are trying to scare voters. Here are the facts:

The Australian scientist reports that the average rate of SLR over the almost 20-year period of satellite radar altimeter observations is 3.1640 mm/year, which if held steady over a century would yield a mean global SLR of 31.64 cm, which is just a little above the low-end projection of the IPCC for the year 2100. However, he also finds that the rate of SLR is reducing over the measurement period at a rate of -0.11637 mm/year², and that this deceleration is also “reducing” at a rate of -0.078792 mm/year³.

Does that look like run away sea level rise?  Al Gore new beach front home is now safe from sea level rise. Of course, he knew that when he bought his new home on the ocean. Now tell your friends and neighbors that sea level rise is not a dangerous issue worthy of our concern.
