EPA dumps Ozone regulation — Oops only until after the election.

The AP has the story, well part of the story:
Obama overruled the Environmental Protection Agency — and the unanimous opinion of its independent panel of scientific advisers — and directed administrator Lisa Jackson to withdraw the proposed regulation to reduce concentrations of ground-level ozone, smog’s main ingredient. The decision rests in part on reducing regulatory burdens and uncertainty for businesses at a time of rampant uncertainty about an unsteady economy.
I wonder if this has anything to do with the lack of jobs growth, it was only going to cost $90 billion and kill some jobs. ZERO jobs in August may have been a wake up call at the White House.
Oh, wait the EPA is not totally dumping the new smog regulations, they are only delaying them until 2013, well after the election. Sounds a little like CARB delaying Cap and Trade until 2013, after the election.
This is clearly the case where elections will have consequences. A Republican President can delay the new smog regulations forever.
