The LA Times has the poll and the story. It is still Obama for California voters even though the economy is in the tank, and California is number two in unemployment. “The One is still number one in CA!

President Obama’s standing has slumped among California voters, but he holds an expansive lead over potential Republican opponents, including two who have leaped ahead of the GOP presidential pack in California, a new USC Dornsife/Los Angeles Times poll has found.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney were tied at 22% among Republican voters. Two others, Texas Rep. Ron Paul and Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann, were barely in double digits, and a parade of other candidates fell well behind.

ooo

“Californians have growing concerns about the state of the economy and the president’s performance on economic matters, but they don’t see anyone on the Republican side who they are willing to support,” said poll director Dan Schnur, head of the Jesse M. Unruh Institute of Politics at USC.

This poll is just more proof that the Paul’s are still in-charge in California and they want to make sure that the Peters keep paying their bills.  Boy, oh boy are they in for a surprise!!

  1. And with the hijacking of th redistricting process it will be even worse.I remember the mantra of the democrats back in 2004 in the national and congressional races. It was “how can people vote for a republican when it is evident their policies are not in that voters self and economic interest”? We can see it here every day in our state. We are Greece, yet look, even there the reality of socialist rule is under attack.
