Nevada County is not on the EPA Hit List, but Cannot Escape CARB

Russ Steele

The federal Environmental Protection Agency has just made tracking greenhouse gases a lot easier. The agency has produced a map of major GHG producers, with fresh data and customizable features. Check out the interactive features HERE.

This will make CARB’s job easier to start squeezing money from California’s CO2 emitters. I could not find any  targets in Nevada County. However, that does not mean we will not feel the impact. If you look at the emitters in the state that are on the list, you will see companies that provide products you use.  One of the CO2 emitters on the list are the Budweiser plants.  If Budweiser has to start paying CARB’s cap and trade  bribes, then the price of your next Bud is going up real soon now.

H/T to a regular reader for this tip.
