Oh My God, This is Going to Be So Much Fun

As Anthony Watts has pointed out in a previous post that Governor Brown has launched a Climate Science Website, Climate Change – Just the Facts.  This sites is run by his office of Planning & Research. One of the segments of the site is Common Denier Arguments.

Deniers continue to repeat several arguments long after they have been debunked by experts. In the past, deniers have contended (and some continue to argue) that the world is not warming. Overwhelming amounts of data from throughout the world have made that argument so fallacious that the deniers have now shifted their contention; claiming that humans are not responsible for the warming. Because the basic physics of greenhouse gases has been well-established, along with the fact that human activity has generated billions of tons of greenhouse gases, make this argument untenable, the denier argument has shifted further. Some deniers now concede that warming will occur, but that impacts will be minimal, and some argue that even if climate change will have impacts, it will cost too much for us to do anything about it. Of course, the cost of failing to act will be much higher.

As you can see from the link that they have listed the arguments and then set about answering those arguments.  Where did the Governor’s Research staff get their answers?  Do not laugh now, from these leading scientific organizations, including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC), the US National Academy of Sciences, and the United Kingdom’s science academy, the Royal Society.

The UN IPPC is not a scientific organization, they do not science, they only compile and report on the science papers that fits the UN agenda.  The National Academy of Science the headquarters for the grant whores seeing more climate change research funding, and the Royal Society is  the oldest science academy in the world and previously the most prestigious, however over the past decade the Royal Society has abandoned its longstanding neutrality and become a political lobby group.

Examining the Planning & Research answers and providing some alternative answers is going to be so much fun!  Stay tuned!

I wish I shared your view that this will be fun. I find it increasingly difficult to convince people that they need to look at the data rather than the overwhelming amount of propaganda that comes out of media and government.

    • Mike,

My plan is to present factual data to counter the propaganda. I am only one small voice, but I try to keep our regional political leaders informed.

Here is the manipulated temperature chart from NASA on the CA.gov website.

Here is the data manipulation exposed! Can you say Climategate?
