She sounds like a typical inspirational speaker for the first 1:15. From 1:16 on she sounds like typical republican shill. What conspiracy from the corporate media are you talking about?

  2. RL Crabb says:

C-Span is the best vehicle to watch the uncensored acrobatics of politics, without some blowhard commentator telling you how to react. Oh wait, that’s what I do…Never mind…

  3. benjaminemery says:

But you do it with such good humor, it makes all the difference in the world. It explains the popularity of The Daily Show. I only get to see the best of’s because the only clips I watch are the shared ones through social networking since I don’t get tv pumped into my house.

    • Todd Juvinall says:

FOX drew 6.5 million last night (even more than the alphabet networks). Way more than all the others. Must be something in the water eh?

  4. Arthur M. Day. says:

None so blind as those who refuse to see.

  5. benjaminemery says:

So why is this woman being hidden by the press?

  6. stevefrisch says:

Let me the first to say here that the vandalism of Ms. Love’s Wikipedia page was a disgusting, unwarranted, and racist act. Disagree all one wants. but this type of activity is both criminal and reprehensible.

  7. Todd Juvinall says:

    Those “progressives” don’t like dissent.

  8. benjaminemery says:

Wikipedia was a great idea but those who have huge sums of money have exploited the achilles heel to rewrite history and now it is used for very disappointing attacks on an innocent woman.

Remember how Paul Revere ride was changed on Wikipedia 24 hours of Palin making those ridiculous statements about bell ringing and warning the British they weren’t going to take our guns or something along those lines. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/post/sarah-palin-fans-fight-over-paul-revere-wikipedia-page/2011/06/06/AGxtzHKH_blog.html

Can Russ or any republican who agrees with Russ’s post title and comment answer what it means, she seemed to be a pretty typical republican shill nothing more? Why would they not want people to see her?

  9. Arthur M. Day. says:

Mr. Emery, your racist bigotry s showing. …”Just a Republican shill”…Gee, what does that make Ms. Sandra Fluke? An unmarried woman who is so promiscuous that contraceptives are a financial burden? Ever look up the definition of slut in a dictionary?

    • stevefrisch says:

Funny, I thought a shill was a carnival worker who pretended to be a member of the audience in an attempt to elicit interest in an a carnival barkers patent medicine. I didn’t think it had anything to do with the things that Art is saying…just like a cracker is an old man who sits around the cracker barrel telling young whippersnappers how he used to walk 10 miles to school in the snow.

      • stevefrisch says:

Ever look the definition of curmudgeon in the dictionary?

      • Todd Juvinall says:

Well thanks for spanking your pal BenE for claiming the woman is a shill. I didn’t know you had it in ya.

  10. benjaminemery says:

I didn’t realize your vocabulary and research skills were so challenged

shill- An accomplice of a hawker, gambler, or swindler who acts as an enthusiastic customer to entice or encourage others.

Just about every speaker at the conventions are shills for the party, unless your Ron Paul and he refuses because the party will not let him speak without their edits to his speech.

  11. Arthur M. Day. says:

Mr. Frisch: I tyhink you need a brain checkup, yours seems to have gotteb stuck about the time you finished middle school.
The fog bound benighted swamp of self congratulation is glaringly obvious.

    • Todd Juvinall says:

These “progressives” are the true racists. They see color, we see character.

  12. benjaminemery says:

The party of Lincoln was a progressive party and was taken over by the industrialists by the 1880’s and have only shown small glimpses into the promise of the original party in the last 130 years.

You obviously don’t understand what being progressive means.

Progressive -favoring or advocating progress, change, improvement, or reform, as opposed to wishing to maintain things as they are, especially in political matters

  13. Arthur M. Day. says:

Mr. Emery, we would appreciate hearing about a country where statist progressivism has improved life for the many.

  14. benjaminemery says:

If you live in the United States of America, step outside you’re living in one.

Progressive -favoring or advocating progress, change, improvement, or reform, as opposed to wishing to maintain things as they are, especially in political matters

Just think when the constitution was ratified only around 5% of Americans could vote or run for office and that was considered a radical change that could never work. Human beings were legal property. Hell the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution themselves were radical progressive ideas for their times and gave us the foundation to strive more democratic control of our government. A founding document that has a Bill of Rights for its citizens, not servants, is incredible and extremely progressive philosophy.

  15. benjaminemery says:

Your turn to answer a question.

    “Arthur M. Day. says:
    08/29/2012 at 8:21 pm

Mr. Emery, your racist bigotry s showing”

Where and what did I say or show that was bigoted or racist?

  16. Arthur M. Day. says:

Dear Mr. Emery, if I could, I would take you by the hand and lead you back up this thread to your first post. There, we would review your dismissive descriptions of Ms. Love as “a typical inspirational speaker” and a “typical republican shill.” Since to mention golf, or Chicago, or anything else about B.O. is to be accused of racism by such as Chris Mathews, insulting language such as you unthinkingly use against a woman of color is a slam dunk candidate for the charge.

    • benjaminemery says:

Calling someone a political shill is calling someone a political shill. So tell us what it is that the media didn’t want us to see? I have asked a simple question that Russ and like minded participants won’t answer. Maybe you will have the courage to tell us.

  17. Arthur M. Day. says:

I think, if you go into the history of the founding of this country, that a major concern of the founders was to keep the irresponsible herd from getting their greedy hands on the levers of power. That was what the property requirement was about. Democracy was a dirty word. To claim that the developers of the country were the same as the Occupy Whatever or Acorn groups is to make another public display of your warped outlook. Wipe your chin, it’s all watermelon juice.

  18. benjaminemery says:

You have a very narrow and convenient view of US history, which may help you validate your beliefs but in the long run it cheats you of the true greatness of our country. I hope you will open you eyes one day and embrace the entire US history good and bad so you can really appreciate the privilege of living in the United States of America.

  19. Arthur M. Day. says:

Mr. Emery, I thinkest thou dost project too much.

  20. Ben Emery says:

    No Art,
I just don’t ignore parts of US history that don’t fit my philosophy. I see you didn’t have the courage to answer the simple question I put forth.

  21. Arthur M. Day. says:

I think I can not satisfy a person who can not take responsibility for his use of insulting
language against a person of color. After throwing the race card around with abandon. Mr. Emery, your credibility is toast, your integrity is invisible, your rationality is in serious question.

  22. Ben Emery says:

Nobody at Is it 2012 in Nevada County Yet? can answer the simple question. Russ where are you buddy.

I watched the video and saw a typical inspirational speaker for the first 1:15 second and then a typical shill or cheerleader, if the word shill might offend someone, for the republican party.

What about this video and women did MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, and CNN Did Not Want You To See?

Here are a couple more definitions of “shill” for those with a sensitive mind.

-Shill can also be used pejoratively to describe a critic who appears either all-too-eager to heap glowing praise upon mediocre offerings, or who acts as an apologist for glaring flaws.

    Merriam Webster
Shill- to act as a spokesperson or promoter

  23. Arthur M. Day. says:

Mr. Emery: Have you ever been told that a life like yours is it’s own punishment?

  24. Ben Emery says:

Just answer the question. I will continue to pose the question here until someone answers it. Did she use a hand sign that meant something? Is it because she is a woman?

  25. Ben,

The issue was that the Net works cut away from Mia Love’s speech and only Fox showed clips in news broadcasts that I saw, but then again I do not watch the lame stream media shills for Obama, so I could be wrong. She is on her way to become the first black woman elected to congress from Utah. A news worthy event?

  26. Ben Emery says:

Thank you Russ. And thank you for using the word shill, some of your participants here haven’t been around the block enough times to understand its meaning.

  27. Arthur M. Day. says:

Devout Democrats are around the bend, not the block.
