Going in Search of John Galt

Dear Readers,

Thanks for visiting and sharing your thoughts, understanding and contributions over the past year.  The United States I grew up in and defended will be unable to sustain itself with more people on taking from those who are producing. We are a path to economic destruction and I will never live long enough to see this great nation rise again. It is time for others to step up to the challenge. I am done. It is time to go in search of John Galt.

I will continue to blog at The Next Grand Minimum on weather and climate issues. For political commentary, I recommend that you visit George Rebane’s Ruminations.  For climate change issues I recommend Anthony Watts’ Watts Up With That

This Should Work Well For Obama – Pi**ing Off 30 Million Grass Roots Americans

Breitbart News:

After failing to mention the Tea Party by name on the stump in 2012, President Barack Obama mentioned the movement during at least five stump speeches on Thursday and Friday.

Running against the Tea Party movement that successfully stymied his grassroots agenda and energized conservatives and independents to give Republicans in the House a majority, Obama said Mitt Romney would “rubber-stamp the Tea Party agenda in Congress.”

Jenny Beth Martin, National Coordinator of Tea Party Patriots, said Obama was continuing to divide Americans by badmouthing “millions of grassroots” Tea Party activists across the nation.

“In a single speech today, our current President demonized Americans who have achieved the American Dream and badmouthed millions of grassroots Tea Party activists in every state in the nation,” Martin said on Thursday. “If he spent as much time uniting Americans as he does dividing Americans and attacking them, his presidency might have been a success.”

Yep, that should wrok really well!  This is a sign of desperation, Obama is going down and he knows it!

Hello,The attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi that resulted in the murder of four Americans has become a huge issue. But with Election Day just a couple of days away, the mainstream media continue to give little or no attention to it; instead, they are focusing on the horse race and the latest political polls. At PJ Media, we’re devoted to covering this important story. Our Middle East editor, Barry Rubin, provided a short guide to the Benghazi issue that explains what it is really all about. In the guide, Rubin analyzes the enduring themes raised by the tragic event. Click here to read his article.PJ Columnist Michael Ledeen’s most recent post on Benghazi addresses the Obama administration’s failure to take some action to save the men on the ground: “The big reason is fear of failure, a big public failure. It was easier to live with tragedy and even a perception of indecisiveness-verging-on-cowardice than with an AC130 gunship going down in flames.” You can read the full article here.

Ledeen also appeared on PJTV to discuss what the media are not talking about when they do talk about Benghazi. Click here to watch the video now.

So who’s to blame in all this — the failure to act and the resulting cover-up? Fingers will point in every direction, but as we all know the fish rots at the proverbial top or, more politely, the buck stops with the president. Obama admitted as much. That’s why I wrote an article titled, “If Reelected, Obama Should Be Impeached Over Benghazi.” Click here to read it, and leave a comment to let me know what you think.

PJTV’s Trifecta with Scott Ott, Stephen Green and Bill Whittle also addressed the possibility of impeachment over Benghazigate. As Scott Ott put it, “Mr. President, you have utterly failed in what you knew, or didn’t know — in what you did, and neglected to do. Only the verdict of the voters on November 6th should spare you from impeachment.” Click here to watch this episode of Trifecta now.

Details about Benghazigate are continuing to trickle out, but they remain cloudy at best. That’s why we have established an email address — Benghazi@pjmedia.com — to receive hitherto unpublished information about the events in Libya on September 11. Read this post for more details.

And stay tuned to PJMedia.com and PJTV.com for more coverage of Benghazigate.

Sincerely,

Roger L. Simon

Over the E-mail Transom: IF YOU CAN’T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU’VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM

Russ Steele

This is presented with out editing for your education and comments.

This was written by a 21 year old female who gets it. It’s her future she’s worried about and this is how she feels about the social welfare big government state that she’s being forced to live in! These solutions are just common sense in her opinion.  Love the last thing she would do the best.

This was in the Waco Tribune Herald, Waco , TX , Nov 18, 2011*

PUT ME IN CHARGE . . .*

Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50-pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I’d do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal legations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, or smoke, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your home” will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV or Xbox 360, then get a job and your own place.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a “government” job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the “common good..”

Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be “demeaning” and ruin their “self esteem,” consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

AND While you are on Gov’t subsistence, you no longer can VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself from voting while you are receiving a Gov’t welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

Amen!

WELCOME TO THE TEA PARTY NEWS NETWORK

Russ Steele

Remember when out local lefties and his purpleness declared the Tea Party over,  as it’s influence would soon fade with in a few weeks after the 2010 election.  Well it did not happen and the strength of the Tea Party in it’s various forms continues to grow. The Tea Party continues to be a loose collection of grass roots organizations with little top down management. Local organizations decide what is the best approach for their communities, relying on the Internet to communicate local actions to other Tea Party groups.

Now these local groups will have the Tea Party News Network to feed stories to their web pages, luncheon update reports and monthly newsletters. Of course you can tune in on the web.

The Politico takes note with this new news network: Tea Party conservatives are getting their very own news site.

The Tea Party News Network, self-described as “the only trusted news source and the antidote to mainstream media bias,” is already live but will announce its launch tomorrow morning, with plans to start live video on election day. TPNN claims to have a “war room of 40-plus volunteers” who will operate out of the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, and has established partnerships with the Talk Radio Network and radio host Rusty Humphries, who will be co-anchoring the election night coverage.

This is another place to go for some unfiltered lame stream news. Perhaps not totally unbiased news, as the Tea Party has a mission, but the news will not be run through the liberal/progressive news filter before you get to consume it.  I recommend you give it try and see if it deserved a place on your bookmark or favorites bar.

The next Tea Party Rally will be at the ballot boxes across

this great nation. See you there!

Someone Too Big to Fit Under the Bus Ordered Benghazi Stand Down

Russ Steele

Some one ordered a stand down order in the Benghazi attack. The Investors’s Business Daily: Stand-Down Order In Benghazi Attack Still A Mystery.

The president says the election has nothing to do with four brave Americans getting killed, but, as in 1980 at another embassy, it should — just as it matters who gave the order to stand down.

We have speculated that a reason the cries for military help during the seven-hour assault on our consulate in Benghazi were ignored was due to fears of another “Blackhawk down” incident as in Somalia under President Clinton or a repeat of the Desert One mission that crashed and burned in the Iranian desert in a failed attempt to rescue our hostages in Tehran in 1980.

After all, according to Richard Miniter’s book “Leading From Behind: The Reluctant President and the Advisors Who Decide for Him,” it was at the urging of White House adviser Valerie Jarrett that President Obama canceled the operation to kill Osama bin Laden three times before finally approving the May 2, 2011, Navy SEAL mission. Her concern: the political harm to Obama if the mission failed.

As we’ve written, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta has falsely said we didn’t have real-time intelligence of the terrorist attack on our consulate in Benghazi. The administration has also suggested it was the CIA that put the brakes on any attempt at relief or rescue.

ABC’s Jake Tapper reports that a CIA spokesman, presumably at the direction of CIA Director David Petraeus, has put out a statement saying, “No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate.”

Someone did, and the question is who?  It must have been some one who was too big to fit under the bus. Who do you think that might be?  It is hard to chuck one self under the bus, especially when there is a political campaign to run and a pressing need to organize a hurricane to clean up.

Update thanks to a reader who voted on who was too big to go under the bus:

A Message From Mexico

Russ Steele

This came in over  the e-mail transom. What struck me as I was watching this video is that our past RINO Governor, after he signed AB-32 the Global Warming Solutions Act, is that California should emulate Spain, which is used as an example of how socialist leaders can destroy an economically robust nation.
